A three -vehicle collision in Trelawny on Monday afternoon, has left one person dead and five others injured.
Reports are that about 1:45pm, a red Toyota Corolla motorcar, travelling along the North Coast Highway, upon reaching a section of Salt Marsh, the driver lost control of the vehicle and drifted into the path of a Nissan motorcar, travelling in the opposite direction.
In an effort to avoid colliding with the oncoming Toyota Corolla, a tour bus, with tourists on board, which was traveling behind the Nissan, drove onto the side of the road. However, the Toyota motorcar rammed into its side.
The tourists escaped physical harm.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla died on the spot, while the passengers were taken to the hospital in Falmouth. Two persons aboard the Nissan were also reportedly hurt and rushed to hospital.
The Falmouth police are now on the scene.
