The island of Jamaica was shaken by a magnitude earthquake this morning Thursday August 22, 2019 at approximately 6:45 am.
According to the US Geological Services the quake measured 3.1 and affected mostly the South Eastern end of the Island.
So far reports are that the tremor was felt as far back as St. Elizabeth. However the major tremor was centered around the parishes of St. Catherine, St. Mary and parts of St. Ann.
No reports of damage as been reported. Further updates will be provided as soon as it becomes available.
