Friday June 4, 2021 is a day those in the vicinity of Flat Bridge in St. Catherine and family and friends of the victim will never forget. Reports from the police are that 49-year-old Ava Thelwell of Shortwood Drive, Kingston 8 is suspected to have committed suicide.
According to reports at approximately 2:20 p.m. Ava Thelwell reportedly drove her Suzuki Grand Vitara into the river. Reports surfacing suggested that the victim had been lingering around the bridge since 10:00 a.m. Divers came to her rescue after the vehicle went under , however; she was subsequently pronounced dead.
