The driver of the car that plunged into the Rio Cobre after it ran off the flat bridge this morning is dead.
His body was fished from the Rio Cobre in the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine.
The driver who was the sole occupant, was still inside the Toyota Camry motor car, strapped down by the seat belt vehicle when it was removed from the river.

Deputy Superintendent at the Jamaica Fire Brigade’s, St Catherine division, James Lee, says the Spanish Town station received a call about 8:19 a.m.
He said a team was dispatched and the motor car found completely submerged when they arrived. A wrecker and divers were called in to remove the vehicle from the river.
The identity of the person is yet to be confirmed.
