Deadlock the official recount of votes following Thursdays general elections have both candidates tied at 4834 votes each, according the reports by the Jamaica Gleaner.
On Thursday the Jamaica Labour Party Daniel Lawrence had a meager winning margin of 8 votes over the Peoples National Party Luther Buchanan.
The Returning Officer will have to break the deadlock, however; court proceedings might still follow.
